What is an ancient rose? Ancient roses are the ones that already belonged in 1867 to a class of well-known roses.
Non reflowering varieties come into bloom once a year, in spring.
Reflowering varieties come into bloom also in spring and flower again more or less in summer and sometimes till the end of the autumn.
Their plus : very fragrant roses, thick petals, soft and pure colours, hardy and not very exacting rose trees.

Climbing roses
